1 Those are my first comparisons and contrasts for my thesis course. This is my first time to try this kind of style to do an illustration. I have to say, both of them are not as successful as I imagined, but it is a good start. In these two paintings, my thoughts are based on the fact that women have long hair and short vision. In this quote, it sounds like the hair is trapped in the woman. And that’s where my first illustration came from, a woman trapped in a quagmire, painful, sad and unable to extricate herself. The other one I want to express is that the hair gives the woman strength and allows her to roam freely in the air.These two unsuccessful works are, in my opinion, a good start.I’m still looking for the best way to modify them. I hope4 they can leave a good impression on everyone

2 The next two come from the principle of the snake and scorpion beauty, which is written “蛇蝎美人” . In Chinese literature, snakes and scorpions are used to disparage women who are beautiful and spirited.Most women are resourceful and intelligent.Such an intelligent woman has been placed in a category with poisonous snakes and scorpions. It is unfair. It’s better to say that because there are always self-absorbed males to harass these girls, that leads to these girls having such adjectives. This is just a way for girls to protect themselves. Girls always have a variety of ways to face these people with bad intentions. Girls have the power of girls themselves.

3. The theme here is about the old proverb: a talented man with a beautiful woman.In everyone’s perception, it seems that women only have good looks. And the only thing, good looks, can do is to marry a talented man. Yet in times like this when girls are unwilling to accept their fate of who they are married to, the older generation of women began to advise them to listen to their elders, even forcing them to wear the wedding dress and wedding5 jewelry for an unknown wedding.These girls are forced to put on handcuffs like jewelry, and then go through their lives as they were bet on.The point I’m trying to make is that everyone is the same, some people have more intelligence while others will look a little better. None of these should be used as capital for marriage. Everyone is not the same in life. We should have the right to control our own lives.

The meaning of the three subordinates is that before marriage to listen to the words of the father, after marriage to listen to the words of the husband and then after the death of the husband to listen to the words of the son. The four virtues mean that a woman should have good moral character, words and deeds and needle work. The first painting shows a woman living under the lust of a man. And the second painting shows a woman using her own strength to gain the respect of others.
