An onslaught of ideas, such as during a brainstorming session, can make choosing and holding onto a particular one difficult. “Non-aqueous rain” can sometimes shower flightless animals, such as fish, onto land after they are caught and carried up by waterspouts. The meteorological phenomenon of “haze” can sometimes obscure a clear view of the sun due to dust and moisture in the air. This is comparable to having a lack of self-identity or identity confusion, and fading into the background. Inner turmoil can be overwhelming and self-destructive – much like “fire whirls”, which are tall towers of flames sprouting upwards from wildfires. The desire to preserve childhood innocence lends itself to a sense of fragility that is similar to the delicate and impermanent nature of “frost flowers”, composed of thinly layered ice that extrudes from plant stems. Unique solutions are harder to generate and see through than simpler, over-done ones. “Snow rollers” are naturally occurring bales that once pushed by wind overtime, gain momentum without effort and all take on the same shape overall. Ignorance and distractions are often modes of coping with unpleasant situations. The beautiful “auroras” caused by collisions between charged particles in the atmosphere can be neon fabrics that can veil the darkness. Obstructions in the air flow can cause the formation of “lenticular clouds”, which assume a layered appearance and resemble the taking apart of one’s self for the purpose of sometimes harsh self assessment. Close Mind Meteorology Mind Meteorology visually compares fascinating meteorological patterns with patterns of cognitive psychology, exploring the notion that both nature and the human mind can be reflective of one another.
