Barbeque is part of an ongoing series, Picnic, that revolve around the idea of memory and its perpetual reconceptualization, reorganization, and revisitation. As the moments represented by the mixed firings of various neural synapses become more distant in time, their recapitulation too becomes more nebulous, degraded, and reimagined. Each return, in this way, is its own construction – a composite of best guesses and assumed likelihoods.
